The API carbon steel flanged globe valve is designed to regulate or shut off fluid flow within a piping system. It features a spherical body and flanged ends, providing a secure and convenient connection to compatible pipelines and equipment. Flow is controlled by the vertical movement of the valve disc along the stem. Lowering the disc into the flow passage reduces or completely stops the movement of fluid, while raising it opens the passage and permits flow. This configuration provides accurate flow regulation and pressure control, making the valve well suited for applications that require reliable throttling and shut-off performance. **Features** * **Carbon Steel Construction:** The valve body is manufactured from carbon steel and designed in accordance with applicable API 6D and API 600 standards. * **Wide Operating Temperature Range:** Compared with ductile iron valves, carbon steel construction provides greater versatility across different temperature conditions, with an operating range of approximately –29°C to 425°C. * **Versatile Fluid Applications:** This globe valve can be used with a broad range of media, including saturated and superheated steam, high- and low-temperature oil, liquefied gases, compressed air, water, and natural gas. * **Reliable Corrosion Resistance:** The carbon steel construction provides dependable performance in various operating environments and offers resistance to corrosion and oxidation when used with compatible chemical media, including certain acids, alkalis, and salts.
